Trip
We went on a trip to a small city in the southwest part of our country - we went to see our friends the Moores for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun and we took a lot of pictures that I need to download to the computer and post.... But our internet has been pretty slow lately so it might take me a while to get that done. I just wanted to post a quick one to say what we've been up to!

my new bff
Micah & I have a running joke that this new local friend I met at a baby class is my local "b.f.f" (i.e. best friend). Her son is 7 months old and they live less than a 10 minute walk from our new apartment. She was out of town for almost a month but since she's returned I've had her over twice already. I really enjoy talking with her and it seems she feels the same way. Please remember her! Here are a couple pics of our sons together. Reister seems to enjoy "didi's" company (didi=little brother).

First Haircut!
This post is overdue, because this actually took place on October 22nd, but I thought I'd still post about it! We gave Reister his first haircut! He was getting mistaken for a girl way too often and I myself like the "clean-cut" look, even for little boys, so we decided to go ahead and cut off the locks.... Here's before and after pics -
Believe it or not, most people now assume he's a boy. The others just ask, rather than assuming he's a girl. We think he's pretty cute with his new do.

local buddies
Not that Reister is really at the age that he "plays" with other kids but here a couple recent pictures with kids close to his age:
This is with a little boy a month older than Reister. His parents own the cabinet shop where we ordered kitchen cabinets and counters for our new apartment. The lady was very insistent that I print out a copy of this picture for her! :)
This little boy didn't really want Reister to touch his car. In fact, he kind of hit Reister in the face when Reister handled his gear shift a little too roughly. The first time Reister let it go but the second time he lost it and when I took him away from the boy and the car, he still cried for about 5 minutes. A little later, an adult took Reister and let him sit in the car. The little boy wasn't too happy but I think his mom kept him from bothering Reister at that time.
